Minorities in the Geosciences Textbook Scholarship
The Austin Geological Society has put forth $2500 to establish “The Austin Geological Society (AGS): Minorities in the Geosciences Textbook Scholarship”. We will offer a $250 scholarships to students who are enrolled in a geoscience-oriented STEM program at a university or college in the state of Texas. At least 10 scholarships will be awarded and we are seeking matching funds from AGS members to increase the number of scholarships we can distribute. This fund is in recognition of the financial hardships due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Applications will be accepted now until September 15th. Awards will be distributed before October, 1st. Download application here.
